DATES: Saturday June 17th - Sunday, June 25th
PNTA Crews will spend nine days working on the popular, East Baker Lake Trail this summer. The work performed will improve the trail corridor to meet current US Forest Service Standards and provide a quality recreational experience on the PNT.
Crews will perform: brushing, log-out and maintenance of puncheon and water drainage structure along the trail. The bridge and ford at Anderson Creek will also be repaired this season.
You will need to bring lunch, snacks, water for the day and wear long pants and sleeves and sturdy boots. Bring a pair of work gloves, safety glasses and a hard hat if you own them. Also bring a backpack with the 10 essentials and inclement weather gear. Due to safety concerns, dogs are not allowed on trail crews.
Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. The PNTA will provide all the tools and training that is needed. We will also provide hard hats, gloves and eye protection as needed. Please contact Lewis Trout to schedule your visit before joining a work party.
