Pacific Northwest Trail Campout
August 11 - August 12
Save the date! In 2018, we will be holding our first-ever PNT campout during the second weekend in August.
Join us for the day or for an entire weekend of fun events and informative presentations at Larrabee State Park. Washington’s oldest state park is located on the shores of Samish Bay near Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains and offers great opportunities to explore the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail. This event is great opportunity to learn about the PNT and to socialize with other PNT enthusiasts, trail legends, and thru-hikers.
This year, we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the National Trails System Act. This landmark legislation created our National Trails System, which includes the Pacific Northwest Trail — one of America’s newest National Scenic Trails. Today, the National Trails System includes: 11 National Scenic Trails, 19 National Historic Trails, and more than 1,200 National Recreation Trails (including 21 National Water Trails). These trails provide outdoor recreation opportunities, promote resource preservation and public access, and encourage the appreciation of the great outdoors and America’s history and cultural diversity.
