Project Description

Soak in the early-summer sun as you ascend from the San Poil River valley with a PNTA crew maintaining the PNT on Tenmile TR 025.

We’ll use loppers and handsaws to trim back brush, saplings and branches growing in the trail, and dirt work tools to spot repair the tread and clear drains along the way.

On Sunday we’ll hop over to the next section of the PNT nearby at Swan Lake, to complete maintenance of Swan Butte Cutoff TR 5314-640.

No trail crew experience necessary: the PNTA provides tools, personal protective equipment, and training. Just bring yourself, your daypack, and a thirst for a rewarding day on the trail!

About Trip Duration

Volunteer crew members are free to participate for as long as they like.  For example, you can join the crew as day-trip participant, or make this a multi-day adventure.

Meals are available for multi-day participants who register early enough for us to include them in meal plans.  (See Meals deadline in Project Details, above.)

About Drop-in Work Parties
“Drop-in” volunteers make a difference by boosting the capacity of a PNTA Performance Crew. The crew works on site for the duration of the trip, but volunteers are welcome to participate for as long as they like.

Meals are available for multi-day participants who register early enough for us to include them in meal plans.  (See Meals deadline in Project Details, above.)

Want to dig deeper and play longer? The Performance Crew works at this location for a full week; reach out to the Project Leader at volunteer@pnt.org if you’d like to coordinate participation on a day not listed in the registry.
