Project Description

Student volunteers will help restore this great trail for cyclists and hikers alike. Taylor Ridge Trail 074 is a popular mountain bike route that offers a long ride in the Kettle Range starting at the PNT.

The area is regenerating from the 2021 Bulldog Fire and wildflowers and grasses have begun to flourish. With your help, we will rebuild damaged crossing structures and repair tread to restore the lower portion of the trail.

Volunteers and PNTA crews will disperse camp near the trailhead, beside South Fork Boulder Creek, and work our way up Taylor Ridge Trail alongside Tom Creek and Bulldog Mountain. Together we’ll reconstruct a puncheon bridge and a turnpike, and also repair the tread as time allows.

No trail crew experience necessary to volunteer at this event: the PNTA provides tools, personal protective equipment, and training. Just bring yourself, your camp gear and daypack, and a thirst for a rewarding work-based learning experience on the trail!

See Resources (below) for Frequently Asked Questions and packing recommendations.
