We discovered this early crown-to-coast concept while processing and preserving our historical archives. Sketched concept art from written correspondence with Ron Strickland became one of the PNTA’s first shirts, and a hand-labeled photo of an early PNTA volunteer wearing this design indicates that it was in use in 1978.
We have a couple of the 1978 vintage shirts in our collection, and know that this recreation stays true to the original.
