Project Description

Help wrap up reconstruction of crossing structures on Taylor Ridge Trail 074, a popular mountain bike route that offers a long ride down the slopes of the Kettle River Range starting at the PNT.

The area is regenerating from the 2021 Bulldog Fire, which destroyed trail crossing structures that protect the headwaters of Echo and Tom Creeks at Bulldog Mountain. We’re nearly done putting the finishing touches on a 90-ft turnpike, and we could use more hands to help split decking for then assemble a 30-ft puncheon boardwalk.

No trail crew experience necessary to volunteer at this event: the PNTA provides tools, personal protective equipment, and training. Just bring yourself, your camp gear and/or daypack, and a thirst for a rewarding experience on the trail!

See Resources (below) for Frequently Asked Questions and packing recommendations.
