Hall Creek Sno-Park is a good place to rendezvous before you head out to the PNT in the south Kettle Range— e.g., via feeder trails like Snow Peak Trail 010, Edds Mountain 003, or Barnaby Buttes 007; and the PNT itself via various access points to Thirteenmile 023.
Amenities: The trailhead features a vault toilet; you may have some success drawing water from a nearby creek, but it’s best to come prepared with your daily water.
Directions
From Republic (approx. 11 miles, 15–20 minutes):
- Continue north/eastbound out of town on Clark Ave/ Hwy 20, heading towards Sherman Pass.
- In the hamlet of Pine Grove, continue on Hwy 20 (where Hwy 21 turns north towards Curlew)
- Approx 7 miles from Pine Grove, turn right on Hall Creek Road (FR 2050-600)
- Approx. 3.25 miles, when you cross the cattle guard at the Forest boundary, Hall Creek Sno-Park trailhead will be on your right (across from Snow Peak FR 100)
FACILITIES
The trailhead has ample parking spaces, three picnic tables, three equestrian hitching rails, three fire rings, and one vault toilet. There is NO WATER at this trailhead.
