The Squires Lake Trailhead is located at the northern terminus of the Squires Lake Trail, part of the Pacific Northwest Trail. Squires Lake Park is cooperatively managed by the Whatcom and Skagit County Parks and Recreation Departments.

ABOUT SQUIRES LAKE PARK

Acquired in 1995 with Conservation Futures Funds and the assistance of the Whatcom County Land Trust, this 82 acre park is focused around Squires Lake, once used by the Squires Family as a private fish and fur farm. The park provides a connection to the Pacific Northwest Trail which links Glacier National Park to the Pacific Ocean.

 


DIRECTIONS FROM BELLINGHAM

  • Take I-5 south to Nulle Road, exit 242 (10 miles)
  • Follow Nulle Road east to Old Hwy 99 North for (0.7 miles)
  • The parking area will be located on your left.

 


FACILITIES

Off-street parking for several vehicles and a portable vault toilet. Draw and filter water from local sources or bring water.

ACTIVITIES

Hiking, Bicycling, and Horseback Riding. This area is day-use only.

PASSES

No fees or passes are required for day-use visitors.
